The Glam Edit: How a Trip to Monaco Inspired a Softer Kind of Luxury

It started with a hotel room view.
Not a mansion or castle—just a quiet moment overlooking the Monaco marina at golden hour. The sunlight spilled across the balcony. The water shimmered. And for the first time in a long time, I exhaled.

Monaco has a reputation for grandeur, but what stayed with me wasn’t the extravagance—it was the ease. The whitewashed interiors. The way marble caught the light. The soft silence of the early morning sea breeze. That kind of beauty stays with you.

When I returned home, I wanted to bring that feeling back with me. Not the look—but the mood. That’s where the idea for The Glam Edit was born.

What Is Glam Décor, Really?

Glam is often associated with sparkle or statement-making design, but at its core, glam is about how a space makes you feel. It’s about softness, confidence, and layering elegance in a way that feels personal.

These are the building blocks of glam style:

• Textiles with shine — velvet, satin, and jacquard that catch the light
• Dimensional textures — sequins, quilting, embroidery, and pleats
• A refined color palette — blush, white, grey, metallics, and subtle pearl tones
• Statement accents — decorative pillows, glam curtains, throws, and tufted details

It’s not loud. It’s not maximalist. It’s the feeling of slipping into a space that feels a little more elevated than everyday life—but still yours.

 

A Monaco State of Mind

The Glam Edit isn’t about recreating Monaco. Or Hollywood. Or any place that sparkles and shines. It’s about capturing the quiet elegance of these spaces and bringing it home.

We took inspiration from the textures and tones of the Riviera:

There’s also a little royalty woven in. You can’t walk through Monaco without feeling the presence of Princess Grace. Her style—timeless, graceful, and unapologetically feminine—inspired many of the textures and tones in this collection. We thought: what would she sleep in today?
