Wishes Granted: Recent Room Makeovers for Wish Kids

Sep 2, 2020by Kimberly Foerst
Now more than ever, hope is essential. Make-A-Wish® is committed to ensuring that no child waits even one unnecessary day to experience the hope and joy that a wish brings.
That is why Triangle Home Fashions is a proud supporter of Make-A-Wish® America and its mission to grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. While many wishes are being put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have increased our efforts to help make even more wishes come true.
In addition to donating back a percentage* of all sales of our Make A Wish Collection by Lush Decor and 2% of all website sales* at LushDecor.com, we have recently begun providing home decor to complete room makeover wishes for wish kids across the country.

Make A Wish Space Star Ombre Room Makeover

Hector
Hector is a two-year-old from California who was diagnosed with Rett syndrome. We donated bedding, curtains and a throw blanket to make his room feel much cozier and less like he is spending time in a hospital bed.
Hector’s family wanted him to receive a sensory bedroom makeover with an outer space and galaxy theme. In addition to our textiles, his room was decorated with other navy blue and white touches to complete the look.

Wish Kid Colton in Car Tracks theme bedroom

Colton
Colton is a three-year-old from Connecticut who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer that resulted in the surgical removal of his right eye. Colton is obsessed with all types of cars and wished for a car-themed bedroom makeover. We provided our Car Tracks Quilt Set and matching Car Tracks Sherpa throw, as well as blackout curtains so he could get plenty of rest.
Colton’s favorite spot in his room is sitting on his bed, under a wall stencil of a red monster truck that bears his name, playing with the new 2005 Ford Mustang toy car - a favorite gift to add to his prized collection.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for giving him everything he deserves and more,” Colton’s mom, Ashton said. “I am forever grateful.”

Mia Ombre Curtains for Make A Wish Wish Kid Kenzie

Kenzie
Kenzie is a seven-year-old from Oregon who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She loves all things turquoise and aqua, and when she wished to have a bedroom makeover, we were happy to provide a set of Mia Ombre Blackout Curtains to match her new space.

Farmhouse Yarn Dyed Stripe Comforter For Wish Kid Santos

Santos
Santos is a teenager from Illinois living with a neurological condition. He wished for a comfortable room with a Pokémon theme that has voice activated features, such as TV and lights, to aid with his limited mobility. Before the big reveal, he was admitted to the hospital again and was worried the bed he came home to would not be soft and comfortable since he was stuck in a very uncomfortable hospital bed. We were happy to provide soft cotton bedding and red decorative pillows (the red, gray and white color theme was inspired by a Poké Ball) to complete his bedroom makeover and offer him a soft and comforting place to rest when he finally got to leave the hospital.

Riley Curtains in Disney's Frozen Theme Bedroom for Wish Kid Quinlann

Quinlann
Quinlann is a four-year-old from Connecticut who loves Elsa from Disney’s Frozen movies. After having complications with her liver transplant, she wished to have a bedroom makeover with an Elsa theme. We dressed her windows in our white Riley Window Curtains to create the illusion of snowfall in her bedroom.

Make A Wish Space Star Ombre Collection in Wish Kid Londyn's Bedroom

Londyn
Five-year-old Londyn from Illinois wished for a stair lift and for a comfier bedroom after being diagnosed with encephalopathy. He and his brother had been sleeping in a hospital bed in their living room because they couldn’t get upstairs to their bedroom. We donated our Make-A-Wish Space Star Ombre Curtains and Make-A-Wish Space Star Ombre Quilt Set to decorate his room.
Granting More Wishes
We currently have six more wishes in progress that we are supporting with donations of bedding, pillows, curtains and more.
“Make-A-Wish America is the perfect feel-good organization for today’s times,” says Jenny Zhu Cohen, founder and CEO of Triangle Home Fashions. “We’re a proud sponsor, energized to give back and looking forward to helping Make-A-Wish America grant even more wishes.”
